In light of the natural disasters affecting Texas, Florida and the Caribbean, SchedulePro has joined the tech community to provide financial and practical aid to residents who have been affected. In recent weeks, tech companies such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Austin Tech and many others have pitched in and helped during this difficult time.
“We wanted to show our support for the number of families that have been impacted by these tragedies. SchedulePro has a number of customers who have facilities in these affected areas and we’re working with Americares’ relief program since it closely aligns with our goal of supporting health and employee well being,” says Sachin Agrawal, CEO of EDP Software.
For every dollar donated, $20 in aid & medicine is provided for local health providers. Americares has already sent $5 million in aid for survivors of the recent storms, including emergency medicine, bottled water, relief supplies and emergency funding for health facilities.
“It’s not just the companies we work with that we’re concerned for. These are leading oil and gas organizations who have a number of large refineries and petrochemical plants, and will no doubt recover from the damage. What we really care about are the employees and their families, and we encourage everyone to support in any way they can.”
